Baby, I want you to know
I’d sacrifice anything for your love.
Say the word and I’ll do it,
Be it goat, virgin, or dove.
Baby, I want you to know
I’d sacrifice anything for your love.
Say the word and I’ll do it,
Be it goat, virgin, or dove.

I caught her eye and blinked
In a way I meant to mean
“I appreciate your presence
And willingness to be seen.”
She blinked back in return
That said unmistakably
“I’ve seen you ’round these parts before.
Please stop following me.”
When you see a chinchilla
You might think it’s a rat.
If you see a flying squirrel at night
It looks just like a bat.
You see someone laughing,
But from afar it looks like grieving.
It looks like I’ve been stalking you?
Looks are not always deceiving.

Corn stalks and lonely days
Spending my life
Walking in circles.
If only…
If only I’d paid attention
To where I came from.
If only I knew where I was.
If only I’d believed in society
When they told me
“The corn maze closes at noon.”
Corn stalks and lonely days
Walking in circles.
I hope it’s only my stomach growling.

They said I was a troglodyte,
A crass and vulgar man
Because I sold kids candy
From the back seat of my van.
I know, it looks kind of creepy,
But what’s a man to do
When his candy store burned down
And he’s got holes in his shoes?
So if you wonder why I’m barefoot
Riding this skateboard down the road
With a bag of chocolate insects
Knocking on the door of your abode,
That’s why. Now I beseech you
To buy some chocolate covered ants.
I take cash, credit, or check,
Or I’d accept your extra pants.
