In the Bible, there’s a gap
Of 18 years or thereabout
Between when Jesus was a boy
And when he’d grown all out.
I think he used those missing years
As an omnipotent adolescent
To turn the oceans into wine
Both still and effervescent.

What if the Earth
Is God’s kitchen fridge,
Cold for millions of years
Until, recently,
God opened it up
To get out some divine beers.
The Earth got all warm
From the Heaven outside
Until, once again, the doors close
That or it’s just
What science is saying…
What I’m trying to say is: Who knows?

Are the mob and the boy scouts
In secret cahoots,
With their secret passwords
And fancy salutes?
Would that mean the girl scouts
Are friends with the hood?
I guess that explains
Why the cookies are good…
