Thus The Lateness

You ever had that feeling

When you wake up at nine

And think “I’ve got work to do,

“But waiting twelve hours will be fine.”

Apathy and all that

It’s a long weekend:

Yee hah and woo hoo!

You didn’t want a long poem,

Did you?

Ah, To Have A Memory

“You shouldn’t use your phone at night”

Is what, to me, they tell.

But this evening I must say

It turned out pretty well.

That Was Almost Disastrous

It’s been awhile

Since a poem of mine

Has been forgotten

‘Til 7:09.
What can I say?

It’s been one of those days

How sorry am I?

Let me count the ways.
I guess that I’m sorry

This poem’s half-baked.

OK, I’m done.

My sarcasm is slaked.
Thanks all for reading,

Especially y’all in New York.

I’m going to sleep now.

Yours truly, a dork.

Another 6:00 P.M Poem

I have posted poems
271 days straight,
So you’d think by now I’d have one
Before the clock hits 8:00.

Well here it is, as promised
Though it clearly lacks a point.
By night fall my creative brain
And rhyming brains are spent.

A 6:00 PM Poem

‘Tis a sad occasion
To break a pact,
Especially by
Forgetting to act.

And so I have
Avoided great sorrow
By writing today’s poem
Before tomorrow.
