We Lost… But So Did The Chiefs. I’ll Take It!

So super bowl 59…

I guess you’d describe it as “fine”.

Lo, the history tomes

Yearned for Patrick Mahomes

But the script picked the alt storyline.

Pay The Bills, Or Pay The Refs?

In this divisive political era

We all have the power to choose

If we will sit idly and watch life happen

Or to fight back and help evil lose.

That’s why I ask you to kneel and pray

For the fateful occasion tomorrow

And ask whatever divine you believe in

To cause the Chiefs justice and sorrow.

“Hey Guys! What If We Hijack The Playoffs And Pretend It’s A Cool Innovation Instead Of A Paywall? I Bet Nobody Will Cancel Their Subscription The Day After.” -Some Peacock Exec, Probably

There once was a streaming station

Who aired a playoff game to the nation.

The broadcast was bad

And no one will be sad

If the ratings show as “Devastation.”

Game: A – Commercials D+

Once again the footballs clashed

Between two well-paid teams

Who di athletic contest stuff

To countless fans’ screams

While corporations tried their best

To make us watch their ad

And all the Philedelphians

Are feeling pretty mad.

The winners were the chiefs, of course,

And also Jesus and beer.

Here’s to the beat Super Bowl ever

Until it happens again next year!

Hail to the Chief(s)

Today the 49ers lost

And Trump was not impeached,

White men still have power

And whales still get beached.

Meanwhile in Kansas City

The fans are seeing red

And cheerful songs from joyful throngs

Are filling smiling heads.

One man’s rent is $1006

And one is $3688.

At least a team of Native Americans

Won for the Golden State!
