How many does it take to change me
The humans like to ask
To amuse themselves at my expense
While in my light they bask.
They love me not for what I am
But only what I do
And so I ask: Need I be changed
Or should the change be you?
How many does it take to change me
The humans like to ask
To amuse themselves at my expense
While in my light they bask.
They love me not for what I am
But only what I do
And so I ask: Need I be changed
Or should the change be you?

I quit my job at Burger Giant
And now I’m beating down the door
Of Indeed, Monster, and Jobs.com,
Along with several more.
Then something in me realized
That this process I was hating
Could learn a valuable lesson
From the world of online dating.
I would happily seek employment
On MatchMySkills.com,
Or how ’bout J-Job, FatGuysWork,
Or EmployMySingleMom?
If you want to outsource labor
There’s always AsianJobs to try,
For part time jobs: It’s Just ‘Til Lunch.
For waiting tables: Grown Men Don’t Fry.
I understand that on these
The industry won’t pounce,
But as Grandma always said
It’s the thought that counts.

Dolphins are smart and playful,
But incapable of talking.
Why hasn’t someone hooked them up
To speak like Stephen Hawking?
Not even hollywood has thought
To contemplate that scenario
Instead the make “Sharknado 3.”
It must be they just don’t care-io.

My quest to write one poem a day
Can really be looked at in this way:
Once per day I really need
One good idea as a seed,
And yet I crank out poems like this,
And some will hit while others miss.
Then I look at Hollywood
And my ideas seem pretty good.
