Indian Fireworks Vs. The Legal Crap

Fireworks and fireworks!

Kazam! Kazee! Badoo!

One flies up and lights the sky;

It makes me think of you.

Fireworks and fireworks

Far as the eye can see!

One flies up and fizzles;

It makes you think of me.

How To Reduce Noise Pollution And Increase The Average IQ In America In One Morally-Grey Step

So folks are setting off fireworks

On the night of July 3rd

And at first, I’ll admit I was tempted

To flip such folks the bird.

In the spirit of peace and happiness

I instead propose humbly

To instead give them drugs and fireworks

In massive quantities.

Sure, this year the death toll

May be massive, but I say

It’s a way to purge the people

Who can’t wait just one more day.

This Isn’t Hanukkah… One Day Is Plenty

July 4th is a holiday

At least here in the USA

That’s currently four days away

But some folks think that it’s ok

To have a firework display

Every single night and day

Instead of waiting. Now I pray

That those people will go away

So when upon my bed I lay

Into dreamland I’ll go and stay.

I Don’t Need Proof Through The Night That Our Flag Was Still There

There are two days of the year

Where fireworks and beer

Are acceptable for neighbors to abuse

And yet some neighbors (ours)

Must be from Venus instead of Mars

Because tonight’s the night they picked to light the fuse…

‘Twas the Fifth of July

And all through the room

People were sleepy

From lots of boom boom.

But we can take solace

As tinnitus lingers:

The worst of our neighbors

Now have but nine fingers.

Is Giving Them The Finger Still Rude If They’re Missing One?

A bunch of years ago we said

“Hey King, screw your royal head”

And dumped a hunch of tea into

A bay to say “Bugger off to you.”

Now I think that united spirit

Should say to those who care to hear it

“You’re free to use 2:00 AM fireworks

“But if you do you’re also jerks.”

One Peaceful Day In The Country

Tonight we celebrate the fact

That those who bought the fireworks

Are saving them for tomorrow’s main act

And thus are not going “boom“ like jerks.

#BlackMarketsMatter

Yesterday, my neighbors

Put on a firework display

Although it was illegal,

But everyone was like, “Okay.”

And so some normal people

Broke the law, and yet someone

Still thinks that no criminals

Can buy an illegal gun…

Today, In America

The family was gathered,

The chicken was frying,

And somewhere on TV

Our leaders were lying.

I was lighting the fireworks

And feeling just fine

‘Til I held up my fingers

And counted to nine.

Fireworks

A gust of wind,
A crashing boom,
And color fills the sky:

Experiencing
A firework
That blew for you and I.

A puff of light,
A blaze of smoke,
A deafening silence too:

Experiencing
The firework
That knew better than to blew.
