Truly A Saying For Today’s Loquacious Politicians

All is fair in love and war.

All is not lovely in warfare.

All is war in a love affair

And I’ll just end this poem there.

Yet More Stupid Wisdom

Those who live in glass houses

Should definitely throw stones

So they can collect insurance money

And use it to buy normal homes.

Subtle Differences

One man’s treasure is another man’s trash.

That’s what I’ve heard them say,

But I find the statement even more true

If you take the “is” away.

What Doesn’t Kill You

“What doesn’t kill you

Makes you stronger”

Is total BS.

What about candy,

Vasectomies,

And gastrointestinal stress?

Watching television

Or putting on your socks

Don’t build the muscles all that well,

Nor does eating with a spoon

Or staring at the sun

Or reading books that teach you how to sell.

So how about

Instead of that stupid saying

We make a stupid saying of our own?

“What doesn’t kill you

Can be made into bad poems

That can be written rather quickly on one’s phone.”
