Some people put pronouns in their bio.
Some people post proverbs instead.
The two groups both share a common belief
That the others are off in the head.

My pronouns are just
The sound of a pump shotgun
Loading one more shell

I don’t call you “sir” ’cause I hate you.
I don’t call you “ma’am” to be a bigot.
I use words 99.4 percent of people
Will prefer to be called. Can you dig it?

If you don’t want to hear
Someone say “him” or “her”
I’ll be okay
And I’ll probably say “sure.”
But why won’t you respect
My wishes when I
Ask to be referred to
As “thee most glorious and high?”

Apparently my teachers were wrong
And there aren’t boys and girls.
Turns out gender is “representational,”
Or so the new story unfurls.
Seeing that sex doesn’t matter
To whether you’re he, she, or other
I think we need a singular pronoun
That applies equally to one another.
In the past we were male and female
And likewise called he or she.
Apparently the gender-neutral
Is also important, so they tell me.
So I have an unbiased option
To represent them, me, and you:
We can just say humans are SHeIt.
It has all three pronouns, and also is true!

Grew up in a place
Wouldn’t know
Where pronouns have no place
Or so said so.
Before call something
Might regret later
Know that shouldn’t
Be a hater.
