Every GPS should say
“Make a U-turn here for course correction”
On bridges, highways, and the like
To speed up natural selection.

Women are possessed of powers
Men cannot explain
But sitting on the toilet for half an hour
Is strictly man’s domain.

I was traveling on a train going 50 miles per hour
When another train passed by us going the other way
I wasn’t certain of its speed, origin, or destination
But I remembered what I learned in school and wisely noted, “A”

I consider myself pretty smart
And I have an insight into art:
More people would read
Poetry if indeed
More poets would use the word “fart”

If your life is a dumpster fire
Don’t think about aiming higher
But find a cold alley
And watch how you rally
The hobos, who your heat admire.

We made a fancy board game
With alternating colored squares.
Both players have the same army
So the game will always be fair.
You win by reading the most books
About how to win the game
And memorizing how other people
Learned to not be lame.

Some people are scared of robots
But I think we should put them in school
Because people would grow up with them
And think they’re really cool
And if a not-a-robot kid
Would give the teachers sass
It’d be just fine to get them in line
By kicking a robot’s ass.

I like taxes. I like Feds.
I like cold and lumpy beds.
Yes, that muumuu’s very cute.
I double-checked your parachute.

I’ve started to think of ads
As memes from strangers’ dads
About brands I don’t know
And that makes me feel so
Much less like I’ve been punched in the ‘nads.

I wanted to get a tattoo
Of something that was always true
To remind myself by simple sight
Of something that is always right.
I thought of words, but words can change
Like “queer” no longer meaning strange
And alphabets can change a lot…
“So much for a tattoo”, I thought
But what about a picture that
Reflects the world and where I’m at?
A picture that will grow with me
No matter who I grow to be?
I used to love a Pokemon
But my favorite one keeps moving on.
I used to think that I was wise
But what I knew were often lies.
I used to be a man of God
But now I find the Bible odd.
And then, at once, it came to me!
An image only I could see
That would grow and change as I
Would grow and change and smile and sigh:
My skin, unchanged except by age,
My empty slate, my blank white page.
I’ll know, I know, I knew I’d see
I need no mark to just be me.
